Has your website still showing not be secure? it means you don’t have an SSL certificate installed on your website, don’t worry today you are going to learn how to get a free SSL certificate for your website without purchasing anything.

Google shows all websites with non-SSL websites as “Not Secure”. This means that if you are not using an SSL certificate on your website, then you’ll lose customers’ trust and also lose conversion.

What is SSL?

SSL commonly stands for secure socket layer – is a technology that encrypts communication between users and a website.

Websites need to have an issued SSL which can be recognized by certificate using authority. This certificate is verified and highlighted in the user’s browser address bar with a padlock sign with HTTPS instead of HTTP.

How Does SSL Works On Your Website?

SSL protects information by encrypting the data transfer between a user’s browser and the website.

When a user visits an SSL/HTTPS website, their browser first verifies if the website’s SSL certificate is valid. If not valid you will see the sign not secured

If valid SSL is found out, then the browser uses the website’s public key to encrypt the data. This data is then sent back to the intended server (which is the website) where it is decrypted using the public key and a secret private key.
